In FIRST® LEGO® League Explore, teams of students aged 6 to 10 focus on the fundamentals of engineering while exploring real-world problems, learning to design and code, and creating unique solutions built with LEGO bricks and powered by LEGO Education Spike Essential.

The teams create a poster that illustrates their discovery journey, explains their project, and introduces their team.

Model
The teams build a motorized model inspired by what they have learned using LEGO bricks and the LEGO Education Spike Essential kit.

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?
Step 1:
Form a team

- 2 to 6 children
- 1 adult coach
- 1 meeting room
- 1 to 2 tablets with Bluetooth 4.0
Step 2:
Make sure you have the robotics kit

- Reusable kit
- You have the choice between the LEGO Education SPIKE Essential or WeDo 2.0 kits
Step 3:
Register your team to receive the season's equipment

- 1 Season-specific Explore Kit
- Meeting guide for the coach (digital format)
- Engineer's logbook (digital format)
Step 4:
Follow the meeting guide to coach the team

- 12 guided sessions to prepare a model that illustrates the team's solution to a problem related to the year's theme



Step 5:
Participate in an exhibition

- Find out about events near you
- Register for an event (additional fees apply)
- Organize your team's travel to the event
- Invite parents to celebrate the students' work
